Dear valuable Customer,

As you may have heard, the Omicron variant is currently striking in Asia.

Shenzhen has been on lock down from the 14th of March to the 20Th of March, and major cities such has Shanghai, Nanjing, Qingdao, Hong Kong have been through a thorough PCR campaign, with restrictions and lockdowns in some areas. The Chinese Covid 19 zero tolerance is causing important disruptions on trucking services and port operations.

The variant is also affecting others southern Asian Countries, and even if lockdowns are not in place, it has a direct impact on the supply chain.

Over the last year, vessels rotations have faced various disruptions, for several reasons (Covid 19, port closures, bad weather conditions, strikes, etc…) which caused important congestions on the ports over the world, causing themselves additional delays.

Despite the efforts of carriers to adjust the schedules by omitting some ports on the routes, and hopes of improvement after the Chinese New Year, vessels rotations remain chaotic, and the average delays recorded are still from 8 to 15 days.

The situation is even worse on the American continent, where congestion is a massive problem, and delays can be over 30 days. This is unfortunately a global problem we have no choice but deal with, as long as the context remains unstable.

Our team is commited to assist you the best way possible, and remains at your disposal for any questions.

Best Regards
